Our Sugar-Free Ketchup Recipe

Ingredients

6 oz tomato paste

1 cup water

1/4 cup sugar-free brown sugar substitute

3 tablespoons white vinegar or apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon sea salt

3/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika
-
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
Instructions

Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan.

Whisk until smooth.

Turn the pan on low heat, cover it, and simmer it for about 30 minutes. The ketchup will reduce and thicken as it cooks. Stir occasionally.

Taste and add salt and sweetener to taste.

Once it has cooked and cooled slightly, puree in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Store your tomato ketchup in an airtight container and refrigerate.

A serving size of one tablespoon has about 15 calories and 2 net carbs.
