The Best Keto Chicken Recipe: Sweet & Sour Chicken

The key to excellent low-carb chicken is making a delicious sauce that won’t set you back in your diet.

Most people think of Asian food when they hear the words sweet and sour; however, this delicious sauce can be used in many different ways. Our chicken breast recipe will surely become a favorite for your whole family!

Is Chicken OK to Eat on Keto?

Meat protein sources (such as chicken) are all keto. Enjoying chicken will keep you on your low-carb diet.

The problem is not the chicken. It is how we prepare it. Breaded, crispy fried chicken or chicken tenders are not keto. If you are following a keto diet, you need to avoid breading as well as sugary sauces and dips.

If you love crispy chicken, try coating a bone in chicken breast with the skin on it with some of your favorite seasonings. Cook the breast in the air fryer, then dip it into the delicious sweet and sour sauce.

Serve with some of your favorite low-carb veggies (such as asparagus, zucchini or green beans).
